Repowering an existing solar asset is rarely a simple "remove and replace" operation. While new installations begin with a clean slate, repowers must contend with the constraints of the past.
## 1. Existing Conditions Rarely Match the Drawings
As-built drawings are often aspirational. Over the life of a system, undocumented modifications, temporary fixes, and natural degradation alter the reality on the roof or in the field. A successful repower begins with a rigorous existing-system evaluation to establish a true baseline.
